Rookie-of-the-Year Award*** The Rookie-of-the-Year Award will be given out to a team from a new school competing for the first time ever or a school that has not participated in the last five competitions (for this year the team would be eligible if they haven’t competed since the ninth IGVC in 2001). To win the Rookie-of-the-Year Award the team must be the best of the eligible teams competing and perform to the minimum standards of the following events. In the Design Competition you must pass Qualification, in the Autonomous Challenge you must pass the Rookie Barrel and in the Navigation Challenge you must make three waypoints. The winner of the Rookie-of-the-Year Award will receive $1,000 in award money; in the case the minimum requirements are not met the best of the eligible teams competing will receive $500. Grand Award The Grand Award trophies will be, presented to the top three teams that perform the best overall (combined scores per below), in all three competitions. For each competition, points will be awarded to each team, below is a breakdown of the points. Standard Grand Award Points****

*The team must pass the Money Barrel in the Autonomous Challenge, must make 7 waypoints in the Navigation Challenge and qualify in the Design Competition, to be eligible for Standard Award Money.
**The team must qualify to be eligible for the Nominal Award Money in the Autonomous Challenge and the Navigation Challenge, and have their vehicle present for the Design Competition.
***A School is only eligible Rookie-of-the-Year Award Money if they haven’t competed since the ninth IGVC in 2001.
